Stunning vintage poster from the great feminist artist Judy Chicago.  In remarkable condition and signed by the artist.

'The Dinner Party' is Chicago's most famous work.  It is monumental in scale, a dinner table with 39 place settings honouring historical and mythological women.  The table is triangular, non-hierarchical and minimalist, it represents women finally being awarded 'a seat at the table'.

Each place setting has a ceramic plate and a hand-embroidered cloth, materials that were traditionally dismissed as 'feminine' and 'decorative' by the predominantly male 1970's art elite.

Yet the artwork drew crowds in the hundred's of thousands, it caught a moment... women finally stepping into the limelight.  It is truly one of the most important works of the 20th century.

The women represented are;

1. Primordial Goddess
2. Fertile Goddess
3. Ishtar
4. Kali
5. Snake Goddess
