    This years Rising artists are here.  Our list of up-and-coming artists we think are highly collectable.

    From artists we've been following for a while, to those that caught our eye from the many entries to the open call.

    The Rising artists are;

    Winnie Hall

    Jenny McIlhatton

    Simona Ruscheva

    Gretel Warner

    Renata Fernandez Zaruaza

    The 3nd's 'Rising' programme is a presentation of some rising stars in the art world.  It is our small way of supporting emerging artists.  For the price of an edition you can buy an original artwork.  We take absolutely no profit from the sale, all the money goes to the artist.

    We think that buying emerging art is one of the most rewarding ways to collect.  You get to own an original piece of work for your wall and the knowledge that you've supported an artist in their difficult early years.  Not only that emerging art can be one of the most financially rewarding, prices can skyrocket given time.  The difficulty for the emerging art collector is in the research, who will be the next megastar?  Here at The 3nd rising we've done the first step of the research for you.  These are some of the artists we think are well on the way to an outstanding career.

    We're having an open call.

    The 3nd was founded by collectors with a passion for art.  Over the years we've noticed a few things the art world could do better.

    The open call system for one.

    A typical open call will ask an artist for a fee, a tax on the already strained finances of the up-and-coming artist.

    Next an open call will generally ask for a huge document to be filled out, often asking the artist to crowbar their existing art into the curators theme for the exhibiiton.  This is silly.  Artists should be making art, not filling out forms.

    So we're trying to make it simpler and fairer.

    If you're an artist and would like to take part do the following;

    Repost our 'open call' reel

    Get in touch via DM's (or email us on info@the3nd.com)

    Send us some examples of your work

    Tell us a bit about yourself, your practice, and any diversity you might have (we're interested in socio-economic diversity as well as race, gender, sexuality etc)

    In return we're offering space on the website on the run up to Christmas and quite possibly beyond.  We'll shout about you on social media and perhaps even make a film for you to use.  All for free.  We won't even take a cut of profits... all proceeds go to the artist.
